Puberty
From time to time I get asked by single mothers with sons approaching
puberty if it would be alright for them to show their sons some
of my photos and videos with a view to illustrating what the
human male looks like after puberty. As far as I'm concerned
everything on my website is there for the world to see, so it
is up to them to decide which bits they choose to show to their
son.
It got me thinking about puberty and what were my memories of
the process and the changes that occurred to my body.
-------------------------------
Puberty is something that happens to all children as they approach
10 or 11 years old and probably lasts until they are in their
late teens. Basically the process turns a child into an adult.
Obviously boys and girls are different, but I'm just concentrating
on boys.
A chap called Tanner has undertaken extensive research into the
subject, There are separate Tanner stages for changes in genitalia
and pubic hair. Other physical changes happen, too. For parents,
the Tanner stages can serve as an excellent guide to the changes
you can expect to see in your son. There are five stages of puberty
for boys.
Stage 1 is prepubertal. In this stage, boys haven't experienced
any visible changes, but their adrenal glands are maturing.
In Stage 2, physical changes begin. Between the ages of
9 and 14, boys typically begin to experience:
* Genital development (growth of their testicles and scrotum).
* Growth of sparse hair around their penis and under their arms.
" An increase in height (typically about 2 to 2 1/2 inches
per year), which could bring growing pains.
* Changes in body composition with a decrease in body fat (adipose
tissue).
* They may start to have body odor and may need deodorant.
In Stage
3, physical changes speed up. Between the ages of 10 and
16 years, boys experience:
* Continued growth of their penis and testicles. Nocturnal emission
("wet dreams") may happen as well.
* Darkening, coarsening pubic hair in the shape of a triangle
in their genital area.
* Continued increase in height (about 2 3/4 to just over 3 inches
per year).
* More sweating, which can lead to body odor.
* Vocal changes (and cracking in the process).
* Increased muscle mass.
Some
breast development, or gynecomastia, occurs in about 50% of all
boys in Stage 3. But it typically resolves by the end of puberty.
It's most common between the ages of 11 and 15 years. If this
becomes an issue physically or socially, you should talk with
your child's healthcare provider.
In Stage 4, puberty hits full stride. Between the ages
of 11 and 16 years, boys experience:
* Growth in penis size and darkening of the skin on their scrotum
and testicles. Red ridges on their testicles called rugae will
begin to develop.
* Body hair growth that reaches adult levels. Pubic hair remains
in a coarse triangle.
* A peak growth spurt that averages nearly 4 inches per year.
* Development of acne.
* Continued cracking of their voice.
Stage
5
is the final phase. Puberty ends in this stage. Boys finish their
growth and physical development.
Many may not develop facial hair until this step in the process.
Pubic hair may extend out to their thighs, and some boys may
have a line of hair up to their belly button. Most boys finish
growing by age 17, but some may continue growing through their
early 20s.

I had tried to remember what changes due to puberty that I was
actually aware of at the time, and the answer is very little!
I remember at about the age of 9 or 10 being introduced to masturbation
by the boy (John) who lived next door. Our parents would regularly
go the pub on a Saturday evening and leave us two to amuse ourselves.
I remember that we finished up playing doctors and nurses and
finished up naked in bed together. John then started to masturbate
and after a while had an orgasm and ejaculated. John then tried
it on me. Getting erect was not a problem, neither was an orgasm,
but there was no sperm. The following week we tried again and
I did produce a small amount of sperm.
Having discovered masturbation it became addictive and did it
at every opportunity. It was then that I realised that it was
more enjoyable when done nude. I soon realised that just being
nude was enjoyable even when not masturbating. That was the beginning
of me being a nudist.
A while after I realised the delights of sleeping nude so dispensed
with my pyjamas. My mother soon realised but turned a blind eye.
I think that I went through certain stages earlier that most
boys.
Some years after while on a school journey we stayed at a camp
with a swimming pool, which we made good use of, but wearing
a costume. One boy did make a comment about the large size of
my balls.
At senior school, Wednesday afternoon was 'sports' where we were
bussed of to the laying fields to play all sorts of sports. This
did mean the use of the communal shower. With all the boys in
the shower being nude, I became very apparent that my penis was
considerably larger than everybody else's. I remember being quite
embarrassed about it at the time!
What
I do find amazing is that your penis and gentials can continue
growing until you are almsot 20!
Thes
are two early nude photos of me, but past puberty I suspect!
